Contains a Medical Dame certificate awarded to Margery Farmer by Barnes Woodhall, Dean of Duke University School of Medicine. The certificate was in recognition of the help that Farmer gave her husband, Dr. Joseph C. Farmer, Jr., throughout his medical education. Materials are from 1962.

Contains death masks for Wilburt C. Davison (1892-1972) first dean of the Duke University School of Medicine, Frederic M. Hanes (1883-1946) second chair of the Department of Medicine, William A. Perlzweig (1891-1949) first chair of the Department of Biochemistry, Francis H. Swett (1893-1943) first chair of the Department of Anatomy, and Robert R. Jones Jr. (1902-1941) original member of the Department of Surgery who was murdered by a patient. One of the Hanes masks might be a life mask instead of a death mask. Some of the masks have hair stuck in the plaster. Materials range in date from circa 1941 to 1972.

Contains correspondence, meeting minutes, progress reports, surveys, and articles pertaining to projects and research in community health that Estes was involved in. Materials range in date from 1966 to 1973.

Contains correspondence regarding building planning and construction projects compiled by Louis E. Swanson during his tenure as assistant administrative director of Duke Hospital and director of the Duke University Medical Center Planning Office. Materials date from 1957 to 1978.

Series contains figures, sketches, photographs, and drawings pertaining to the Richardson's work on the structure of copper, zinc superoxide dismutase, an enzyme that protects all living things against the toxicity of oxygen. The Richardson's began working on this structure when they arrived at Duke the 1969. Series includes figures from the 1982 article "Determination and analysis of the 2 A structure of copper, zinc superoxide dismutase," coauthored with John A. Tainer. Series also contains figures from the 1976 article "Similarity and Three-dimensional Structure Between the Immunoglobulin Domain and the Copper, Zinc Superoxide Dismutase Subunit." Materials date from 1973 to 1982, a significant amount being undated.

Contains Hart's personal correspondence with family (mostly with sister Mary Hart) or friends and general Duke-related correspondence with colleagues. Also contains correspondence pertains to homes and property in Durham, N.C. and Roaring Gap, N.C.
