This series contains the planning documentation for the Mary Duke Biddle Trent Semans Center. It includes planning binders, rolled architectural drawings, photographs, space assessment, calendars, fabric samples, furniture information, promotional materials, staffing information, and other materials used for planning documentation. The materials date from 2007 to 2013.

Contains work reports, time logs, an employee handbook, handwritten notes, diary entries, and brief writings pertaining to the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medicine Society (UHMS), formerly known as the Undersea Medical Society. Materials range in date from 1973 to 1988.

This series contains elements of the Duke School of Nursing uniform from Sue Ellen Clevenger Biswell's time as a student. Types of materials include uniform caps, buttons, and pins. Other materials include the nursing uniform apron, bib, collar, and cape. Materials range in date from circa 1955 to 1958.

Contains reprinted articles, progress reports, and photographs of William W. Shingleton, the founding director of the Duke Cancer Institute. Reprints include Shingleton's first published scientific article, "Some Etiological Aspects of Hyperthyroidism" (1943), published in "The Journal of the Bowman Gray School of Medicine" and "Significance of Idiopathic Venous Thrombosis and Hidden Cancer" (1956), printed in the Journal of the American Medical Association." Photographs include portraits of Shingleton, Shingleton speaking at a Clinical Pathological Conference, and the walkway to the Comprehensive Cancer Center. Other publications include a brochure "How the Cancer Information Service Can Help You and a protocol "Adjuvant Therapy of Rectal Cancer" (1979). Materials date from 1943 to 1987.

Contains various writings by both David C. Sabiston Jr. and his colleagues. Materials date to 1978 and 2000, and some materials are undated.

Contains manuscript materials for Snyderman's publications; correspondence to and from editors, reviewers, and co-authors; photocopies and reprints of Snyderman's published writings; manuscripts written by others; and a list of Snyderman's publications with accompanying numbered reprints. Major subjects represented in the writings include findings from medical research, health care, and the role of the academic health center. Materials date from 1968 to 2002.
