This collection contains planning documentation and architectural drawings for the Mary Duke Biddle Trent Semans Center for Health Education. The materials were maintained by Kate Piva, who oversaw the building's planning and construction. These materials range in date from circa 2007 to 2013. Architectural drawings are maintained in electronic format by Facilities Planning, Design/Construction; however, the drawings in this collection have feedback written on them not included in the electronic files. The collection also includes CDs with School of Medicine images for the Medical School, the Physician Assistant Program, and other unidentified images, as well as Department of Community and Family Medicine, Division of Doctor of Physical Therapy faculty biographies and CVs. Materials are dated from 1997 to 2013.

The Office of Medical Education Administration provides human resources, payroll, financial affairs, room and event scheduling, and building management for students, staff, and faculty. The office is located in the Mary Duke Biddle Trent Semans Center for Health Education, which opened its doors to medical students at Duke University in January 2013.
Originally named The Learning Center, the building was renamed to honor Mary Duke Biddle Trent Semans following her death in January 2012. This building became the first new home for medical students at Duke since the School of Medicine opened in 1930. It has six floors, totaling 104,000 square feet, an auditorium, simulation laboratories, a cafe, a student lounge, and a rooftop terrace. Ground breaking for the building took place on 15 October 2010. It was dedicated on 8 February 2013. - Acquisition information:
