This collection consists of information about Duke University Medical Center's Central Supply and Blood Bank, a retirement speech given by Clarence Ellsworth Gardner, and reprints of three of Ivan W. Brown's articles. The materials regarding the Central Supply and Blood Bank include correspondence between Brown and Elmer L. DeGowin, a member of the Department of Internal Medicine at University Hospitals at the University of Iowa, Iowa City. This correspondence, dated June to August 1949, includes photographs of the Duke's Central Supply and Blood Bank, as well as a print of the general floor plan of Central Supply. Contains news clippings, reports, incoming and outgoing correspondence, articles, publications, papers, and handwritten notes pertaining to various topics regarding pediatrics and public health, including changes in the health profession, the cost of medical services, community health, the Education and Screening for Employees (EASE) program, employee and worksite health, and prospective medicine in the central nervous system; the excessoses (conditions of indulgence); the gastrointestinal tract; the genitourinary tract; the respiratory tract, immunology, and allergy; and the unwanted child syndrome. Materials range in date from 1951 to 1984.

Includes Dr. David Randolph Jones' working manuscripts of handwritten and typed lyrics sheets, musical annotations, and notes for the Fungus Five, a musical group comprised of Duke University School of Medicine students in the 1950s. Materials date to 1957 and circa 1950 to 1959.

Contains various materials from the Division of Plastic, Maxillofacial, and Oral Surgery. Includes Dr. Nicholas Georgiade's patient slides, patent materials for his work on cleft palates, and correspondence, much of which refers to his work on cleft palates. A small amount of correspondence belonging to Dr. Jeffrey Marcus. Photographs given to the Division by Dr. Maria Matton-van Leuven, a former research associate documenting Dr. Guido Matton and her time at Duke. A small amount of administrate records from the Division such as printed materials, meeting materials, the Cleft Palate Trust Fund, Duke Cleft/Craniofacial Team history, a departmental history, alumni events, and the Flap Dissection Course. Materials date from 1958 to 2018.

Contains reports from meetings of the Medical Education for National Defense (MEND) Committee, particularly those attended by Dr. William G. Anlyan. Materials date from 1959 to 1964.

Contains correspondence, grant applications, a cassette tape, articles, speeches, and reports pertaining to Halperin's professional writings and career at Duke University School of Medicine as a professor and chairperson of the Department of Radiation Oncology, vice dean of the School of Medicine, and associate vice chancellor. Materials range in date from 1961 to 2009, with the bulk of the collection concentrated from 1961 to 2017.
