London (1930-2014) was president of medical staff at Watts Hospital and Durham General Hospital (1973-1977), chair of Pediatrics at Watts (1968-1976), chair of Durham General Hospital (1976-1978), and a prominent member of the American Board of Pediatrics (1979-1999).
