Contains the June 10, 2020 letter written by the Duke Chapter of the Student National Medical Association (SNMA) and sent to the Duke University School of Medicine (DUSOM) administration and faculty (including but not exclusive to Chancellor Washington, Dean Klotman, Senior Leadership, Communications Officers and Associate Deans). The Duke Chapter of the SNMA wrote the letter to initiate a dialogue about how to be an anti-racist institution after the murders of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor, and Tony McDade. The letter focuses on how the administration communicated with the DUSOM, as well as the experiences and testimonials of Black students. The letter also includes SNMA's, Black students', and alumni's request to expand on the intentions stated in the June 3, 2020 letter written by the DUSOM administration that released a list of objectives intended to help uplift the Black community.
