Dr. Bernard M. Jaffe, MD, is a general surgeon and Professor of Surgery, Emeritus at Tulane University Medical Center. This collection contains 1 oral history interview conducted on June 24, 2019 by Emily Stewart as part of the Dr. David Sabiston Oral History Project. In the interview, Jaffe discusses, as part of the recorded interview, how he helped locate the grave of Dr. William Stewart Halsted, a role model for Dr. Sabiston, when Sabiston was a visiting professor at the medical school at the State University of New York, Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York.
