Biographical / historical:

Mary Ann Kelly graduated from Duke University School of Nursing in 1954. Kelly later became a professor at Clemson University College of Nursing, where she was eventually made a professor emerita. She retired from teaching in 1995 and moved to Shelby, North Carolina.
