Abstract Or Scope: These materials were created for Spanish-speaking Centering participants to provide participants with information on women's reproductive health in their preferred language. The materials were kept in 2 suitcases to transform a community room at El Centro Hispano's room into a clinical space for clinical care. The clinic was staffed by Spanish speaking medical workers, and also provided vaccines. Materials date from 1997 to 2011.

Abstract Or Scope: The Duke Midwifery Service (DMS) provided obstetric and gynecologic services to low-risk pregnant women and education to first-year residents, medical students, physician assistant students, midwifery students and nursing students. The Service was established in 1999 under the Division of Maternal Fetal Medicine in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Duke University School of Medicine. This collection contains materials from Amy MacDonald, CNM, and former DMS Director from 1999 to 2013. Types of materials include administrative records, birth logs, grant information, correspondence, curriculum materials, clinic forms and handouts for patients in English and Spanish, photographs, digital files, and a lab coat. Materials date from 1989 to 2021.
