Several volumes include essays on notable events and key figures in the medical center history. Also includes the "Alumni of the Duke University School of Medicine" book. Contains publications in newsletter and periodical format produced by and for the Duke University Medical Center staff. The majority of publications in this series contain many issues, some include runs of several consecutive years. Some runs of publications may not be complete. Titles with only a few issues represented have been placed in two containers: A-J and K-Z. All others with a box number are ordered by title. "Looking North" was used to share news with the Duke community of the planning, construction and activation of Duke Hospital North around 1978-1980. This monthly newsletter shows models, photographs, plans, team structures, and announces changes underway and "Step By Step" contains notices about late 1990s construction projects at Duke University Medical Center and Health System. Later issues were included in "INSIDE DUMC," which changed its name to "INSIDE Duke Medicine" in January 2007. Materials date from 1947 to present.
