Items in the beginning of this series have been bound into the back of the book "Collected Reprints of Dr. J. L. Callaway, 1937-1939" (Series 2). These items include newsclippngs, announcements, programs, tables of contents and editorial board listings mentioning Callaway, and a few photographs. A few collected reprints have been bound with these items. The remaining items have been removed from a binder. Items bound with the collected reprints remain in their original order; the rest have been rehoused into folders. Unbound photographs have been removed and placed in the Photograph Collection under, "Callaway, J. Lamar." Photographs include pictures of Callaway by himself and with groups. Groups include the Southeastern Dermatology Association, the National Advisory Serology Council, the National Division of Dermatology, and the Division of Dermatology. Caricatures of Callaway, photographs of Callaway portraits and awards, and photographs of Callaway's horses are also included. Publications are I Only Wear a Raincoat When it Rains and the April 1989 supplement to The Journal of Investigative Dermatology, which contains some information about Callaway.

Contains reprints of articles written by Dr. Callaway from 1934 to 1949. They have been numbered consecutively and arranged chronologically.
