The Brody Fund, established in 1977, honored Duke Associate Professor Irwin Brody, who was interested in the history of Neurology. Heyman chaired the committee to administer the fund, which established an essay contest, fellowship, and purchased books to expand the History of Medicine Collection. The fund also held campus lectures, conferences, and co-sponsored cultural events such as plays and art exhibits. Materials include correspondence, meeting minutes, essays, notes, flyers, newspaper clippings, and committee agendas. Materials date from 1972 to 2003.
