Dr. Tracy K. Gosselin, PhD, MSN, joined Duke University Hospital in 1993 as a Staff Nurse for Inpatient Oncology. A Massachusetts native and graduate of Northeastern University's College of Nursing's five year co-operative education program, she developed an interest in oncology nursing while in nursing school, which included an assignment at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, where she became close to patients undergoing treatment. When she left Duke, in 2021, for a leadership position at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, she was the Chief Nursing & Patient Care Services Officer at Duke University Hospital; a wide-ranging job encompassing nursing practice, education, standards, and accreditation, as well as the implementation of patient care practices.
