Contains research notes, memoranda, and reports and writings pertaining to the professional interests of Stead. Major subjects in this series are computer technology in medical research and diagnosis, physician's insurance, aging and end of life ethics and directives, North Carolina Medical Society, physician assistants, and the Myocardial Infarction Unit at Duke University. Also included in this series is a grant proposal for a mobile restraint device, intended to help patients become mobile more quickly following surgery. Contains some correspondence, although the bulk of the correspondence is located in the Correspondence Series. Materials range in date from 1946 to 1991.
