Contains materials documenting Duke Cleft and Craniofacial Team's involvement in the 2019, 2021, and 2022 Cleft and Craniofacial Awareness Month in Durham, North Carolina.

The 2019 materials includes a description of the events held over July and August 2019; a proclamation signed by Durham's mayor, Stephen M. Schewel stating July is Cleft and Craniofacial Awareness Month; and images of Marilyn Taylor, a young patient, accepting the signed proclamation in August 2019; and a description of the events. Taylor also gave a speech to the Durham City Council the day she accepted the proclamation discussing the care provided at the Duke Cleft and Craniofacial Center and advocating for those with cleft and craniofacial conditions. Individuals in the images are Marilyn Taylor, her family, and Dr. Jeffery Marcus.

The 2021 materials include a video of the June 21, 2021 Durham City Council Meeting, held virtually because of the COVID-19 Pandemic; an image of Kai Hale, a patient who delivered a speech to the City Council and virtual audience where he shared his experiences growing up with cleft differences and advocating for those with clef and craniofacial conditions; a proclamation signed by Durham's mayor, Stephen M. Schewel stating July is Cleft and Craniofacial Awareness Month; and a description of the events.

The 2022 materials include a proclamation signed by Durham's mayor, Elaine M. O'Neal stating July is Cleft and Craniofacial Awareness Month; images of Eileen Raynor, MD (ENT) accepting the proclamation and delivering a speech to the Durham City Council where she spoke about the Duke Cleft and Craniofacial Team and advocated for those with cleft and craniofacial differences; and a description of the events.
