The Department of Ophthalmology, established in 1965, began in 1930 as a division within the Department of Surgery. Divisions of the department include Comprehensive Ophthalmology, Cornea Service, Glaucoma, Neuro-Ophthalmology, Oculoplastics, Pediatric Ophthalmology, Research Division, and Vitreoretinal Service. This collection contains publications, administrative and departmental records, reprints by faculty and staff, research files and materials, alumni files, grant information, photographs, slides, negatives, audiovisual materials, and public relations materials.
