Reprints, 1930-1990

Creator:
Duke University. Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Scope and content:

Contains reprints of articles and publication indices from the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology faculty and staff. Major contributors include F. Bayard Carter, E. C. Hamblen, and Robert A. Ross. The collected reprints of E. C. Hamblen, once the property of W. A. Peters Jr., are also included. Peters received A.B. degree from Duke in 1939 and his M.D. degree in 1943, and also served on House Staff in the 1940s and 1950s. The reprints included in this collection are not a complete set. The reprints from the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology faculty are arranged in numerical order based on the indices, which appears to be derived from the first letter of the lead author's last name. Reprints from 1930 to 1955 appear to have been renumbered from their original numbering system; thus some reprints contain more than one number on the top right-hand corner of the page. Unbound reprints are arranged in numerical order based on the lead author's last name, and are listed in alphabetical order within each date range. Peters' collection of Hamblen's reprints are also arranged in numerical order, although there is no index suggesting from whence this order was derived. Materials range in date from 1930 to 1990.
