Creator:
North Carolina Licensed Practical Nurses Association
Scope and content:

Contains records related to continuing education programs administered by the North Carolina Licensed Practical Nurses Association (NCLPNA). To improve patient care, the NCLPNA encouraged all its members to actively participate in continuing education events, including workshops, sessions during annual conventions, and other events. To incentivize participation by recognition of achievement, NCLPNA, administered a Continuing Education Achievement Point (CEAP) Program. The CEAP Program was established in 1975. The NCLPNA provided notice of organizational and sponsored events to members and tracked individual members' completion of events.

Contains continuing education materials arranged in the following 2 subseries: Completion Logs by Last Name; and Workshops. Types of materials include documents, manila folders, and index cards. Master copies of certain documents were printed using Gestetner-brand mimeograph stencils; these materials are housed separately where indicated due to strong odor of the ink. Materials range in date from 1955-2001.
