North Carolina Licensed Practical Nurses Association
Scope and content:

Contains administrative files from North Carolina Licensed Practical Nurses Association (NCLPNA). The Administrative Records series is divided into 6 subseries: Executive Board; Financial Records; Individuals; Insurance; Records; and Tax Records. The bulk of the Administrative Records are within the Records subseries. Major topics include area presidents and chapters; parliamentary procedure; fundraising; operations; office equipment; real estate; utilities and maintenance companies in Durham; NCLPNA executive board; insurance policies; taxes; audits; budgets; banking; and membership.

Materials include personnel files, personal notes and correspondence, certificates of incorporation, blank forms, letterhead, meeting agendas and minutes, correspondence with vendors, financial ledgers, receipts, committee reports, programs, speakers' information, conference delegate information, nominations, ballots, photographs, tax returns, inventories, and order forms. Materials are arranged alphabetically by subject relating to the activities of the organization and chronologically, except where otherwise noted. Some materials are oversized where indicated. Master copies of certain documents were printed using Gestetner-brand mimeograph stencils; these materials are housed separately where indicated due to strong odor of the ink. Materials range in date from 1946 to 2012, and some are undated.
