The Duke University Health System Institutional Review Board (DUHS IRB) is responsible for the review of research involving human subjects for the Duke University Schools of Medicine and Nursing, Durham Regional Hospital, Duke Raleigh Hospital, and Duke Primary Care. Originally named Duke Committee for Clinical Investigations, the department was renamed Duke Institutional Review Board in January 1984.
