Scope and content:

Contains images from Shawn Rocco, photographer and multimedia producer for Duke Health Marketing & Communications. Rocco traveled between Duke University, Duke Regional and Duke Raleigh hospitals to document the many ways employees prepare and care for patients with COVID-19. Among the visuals, Rocco captured Engineering and Operation staff making face shields and de-contaminating masks, nurses working at drive-thru COVID-19 testing sites, an overnight shift at the medical intensive care unit in Duke Medicine Pavilion, and employees treating patients at Duke Regional's intensive care unit. Images were used for external news sources. File types include JPG and TXT. The digital files date to 2020.

Contains Medical Center Administrative records. These include records of the officers of the University, as defined in the Bylaws, the deans of schools and colleges, and departments, institutes, and other offices as designated by the President. For a period of twenty-five years from the origin of the material, permission in writing from the director of the office of record and the Medical Center Archivist is required for use.
