Submitted to the Duke University Medical Center Archives by neuro-oncology Duke PhD candidate, Dr. Yuanfan Yang. Yang writes: "I went to medical school in Beijing, China before I came to Duke for brain tumor research. A lot of my friends in the US asked me how the Chinese responded to the pandemic. Actually half of my classmates and lots of senior colleagues went recruited to the epicenter in February 2020. So I communicated with them and wrote this letter to a professional journal in my field. In this letter we specifically emphasized the contagiousness of this virus and ways to stop the spread from a logistic and personal perspective, including the need to upgrade PPE."

Processing information:

Material in this collection was processed using AXAEM's Electronic Records Processing module, which incorporates Bagger as a way to package electronic files with technical metadata. Captured digital content was ingested into AXAEM, where ClamAV Anti-Virus software detected and cleaned any computer viruses. The cleaned files were saved on the Duke University Medical Center Archives' secure server with a regular backup schedule. Includes 6 files totaling 0.98 MB that are available for research.
