Duke University. Medical Center.
Scope and content:

Includes digital surrogates of photographs and manuscript text from Walter E. Campbell's 2006 publication "Foundations for Excellence," a history of Duke Medicine. The project was funded in part by The Josiah Charles Trent Memorial Foundation, Inc., and presents a selection of over 600 digitized photographs and publications. The project was initially established as part of a larger year-long celebration of the 75th anniversary of Duke Medicine in 2005. File types include images (JPG, TIFF) and Microsoft Word and Excel. The original carrier for these files were CDs. The bulk of the photographs are cited as belonging to Duke University Medical Center Archives (DUMCA), although the locations of the original photographs are unknown. Some of the original photographs may be part of DUMCA's Photograph Collection. Original photographs date from circa 1905 to 1991. File types include DOC, JPG, TIF, DB, XLR, XLS, and TXT. The photographs were likely digitized circa 2005. The Microsoft Word and Excel files date from 2005 to 2006.
